David Waine Kater Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Waine Kater (Weyburn, Saskatchewan), who passed away on June 3, 2019, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his stepfather Richard "Dick" Kater; his niece Brittany McKim; his grandparents, Minnie, Clifford Gallinger, Walter and Mary Hala; his wife Lauren Kater of Weyburn, SK; his children, Jordan Kater (Natasha) of Gimli, MB, Sawyer, Tucker, Kenna and Tyler Kater (Ashley Rowan) of Weyburn, SK; his stepdaughter Kelly Prochinsky (Mike); his children, Nyla and Michael; his stepson Casey Kievits (Stephanie); his children, Emersyn and Blake; his mother Elda Kater of Weyburn, SK; his siblings, Linda Huzina, Phyllis Hala (Garry Schofield), Jaunita McKim (Barry) and Glen Hala (Abbey Forseth); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Crossland (Paul) and Mike Rogal (Charlie). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives & special friends.

Donations in memory of David may be made to Regina Cancer Lodge or Weyburn General Hospital Palliative Care Room.
