He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hemphill and Marion Hemphill; and his brothers, Don, Allan, Ken and Gordon Hemphill.
He is survived by: his son James Hemphill (Kim); his grandchildren, Boyd and Samantha Hemphill; his siblings, Isabell Whitrow (Elwood), Evelyn Schmidt, Jean Steinacher (William) and Lorne Hemphill (Judy); his sisters-in-law, Erna and Carol Hemphill; and his friends, Audrey and Lynn.
