He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Miles and Grace Miles; his wife Ilene Miles of Lake Alma; his sisters, Renee Marx and Peggy York; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Hildebrand.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Miles of Kamloops, BC, Shea Miles of Vancouver, BC, Leah Knibbs (Darwin) of Weyburn and Duncan Miles (Vicki) of Redlands, California; his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Ilsa (Nathan), Stephanie (Jeff), Jeremy (Leah), Graham (Nicole), Blake, Ally, Ross and Stella; and his brother Ronald Miles. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
