He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernst and Margaret Ernst; his father-in-law Ralph Mokelki (Jean); his siblings, William Shorthouse (Bill), Herb Ernst and Margaret Fuhro (Ed); his siblings-in-law, Al Lacell, Roy Mokelki and Lois Mokelki; and his nieces, Doreen Shorthouse, Tracy Mokelki and Abigail MacLeod.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his daughters, Lanette Ernst and Stephanie Doyle (Mark); his granddaughter June; his siblings, Jerome Ernst (Bernice) and Dorothy Lacell; his siblings-in-law, Marion Shorthouse, Ione Berard (Earl), Lana Tosczak (John), Gail Nykoluk (Wayne), Danny Mokelki, Chris Mokelki (Wendy), Garry Mokelki (Donelda) and Sandy Fandrich (Gary); and his granddaughter Stephanie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
