He was predeceased by: his wife Olga Boyko; his sons, Bobby Oleksyn and Kevin Oleksyn; his parents, Bill Oleksyn and Bessie Oleksyn; his parents-in-law, Peter and Ann Boyko; his sisters-in-law, Adeline Oleksyn and Helen Hamel (Tom); and his siblings, Ann Millis (Bert), John Oleksyn, Marie Oleksyn, Peter Oleksyn (Stella), Mike Oleksyn (Ann), Pauline Boechler (Rupert), Julian, Anton and Orest.
He is survived by: his son Barry Oleksyn (Karen); his grandchildren, Brent (Hilary), Kim and Blair (Kendrah); his child Sherrye Brayshaw (Jack); his grandchildren, Lonnie (Courtney), Trevor (Renee), Bev Pust (Jim), Lucas (Rebecca), Mathew (Jessica) and Kelly Oleksyn (Carolynn); his daughters-in-law, Leona Dull and Lisa Oleksyn; his grandchildren, Jordan and Justin; his siblings, Helen Schreiner, Steve Oleksyn (Sylvia), Nick Oleksyn (Elsie) and Ed Oleksyn; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Harrison and Bill Boyko (Christine). He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
