He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnie Olauson and Vesta Olauson of Vanscoy; his wife Norma; and his brothers, Ronald and Willard.

He is survived by: his brother Larry; and his children, Cornel, Dianne (Smith), Rodney and Kerry. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
