He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wood and Thelma Wood (Burns); his sister Marian Kind; and his nephew Dale Dickson. He is survived by: his siblings, Patsy Dickson (Harvey), Betty Wood (David Schmidt) and Ken Wood (Padie Stabner); his nieces, Joanne Dickson and Megan; and his nephew Stephen Wood.
He was a Life Member of Lions Foundation of Canada (Guide Dogs) as well as a Life Member of Lions Eye Bank of Saskatchewan. He was recognized with a Marvin Chambers Fellowship awarded by the Saskatchewan Lions Foundation.
