He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shemko and Paraskovee Shemko; his siblings, Russell (Olive), Johnny Shemko (Nancy), Lilly Hancherow (Steve), Mildred Schultz (Harrison), Marie Allen (Robert) and Pauline Inkster (Gladys); and his son Dennis Shemko.
He is survived by: his daughter Penny Cross (Stanley); his granddaughters, Nichole Cornea (Arnold), Noelle Cross, Kerri Boxall (Scott) and Kelli Hayward (Brad); his great grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessie), Anastasia, Dante Cornea, Kole Koester, Tyler, Samantha, Cassidy, Alivia Boxall, Drew and Josie Hayward; and his great great grandchildren, Porter and Rhenn Cornea.
