He is survived by: his sons, Ralph and Harvey; his daughters-in-law, Carol Hesje, Cecilia Hesje and Lynn Carpenter; his grandchildren, Robin Hesje, Christopher Hesje (Zoe Klingler), Jaclyn Hesje Platis (Constantine Platis), Shawn Hesje (Beverly Fowler) and Candice Hesje Luchinski (Nathan Luchinski); his great grandchildren, Lydia Luchinski, Christiane, Alexandra Platis, Camryn and Raylen Hesje; his siblings, Carrie Gullickson, Ruth Hagen (Clarence), Betty Lambert (Lyle) and Rev. Harold Hesje (Elaine); and his sisters-in-law, Lois Hoyum and Maryellen Hoyum.
