He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hayes and Nepha Hayes; his parents-in-law, Ernest (Shorty) and Irene Logan; his son Robert Hayes (Bob); his siblings, Joyce Reeder, June Mortiz, Francis Hayes, Betty Stobart and Eddie Hayes; his brothers-in-law, Rod Stobart, Charles Lawton and Gordon Moritz; his nephews, Don Moritz and Chuck Lawton; and his niece Susan Moritz.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hayes Loving; his daughters, Betty Lacher (Brian), Sherry Mulhall (Rick) and Sandra Brong (Claire); his grandchildren, Darren Turner (Michelle), Wade Lacher (Shauna), Chris Mulhall (Dennel), Dwayne Lacher (Bodean), Adele Kirwan (Jeff), Cobralin Brochu (Carlis) and Kristen Reed (Kent); his great grandchildren, Seth Schmaltz, Dakota Mulhall, River Mulhall, Rori Brochu, Tenzen Brochu, Robert Lacher (Evangeline), Jordyn Lacher (Josh), Rhett Lacher, Landyn Lacher (Alissa), Carson Lacher, Jenna Lacher, Catherine Turner, Andrew Turner, Elizabeth Turner, Olivia Kirwan, Will Kirwan, Sam Kirwan, Walter Reed and Austin Reed; his great great grandchildren, Jeremiah Reimer and Weston Lacher; his sister Carol Lawton; and his sister-in-law Lila Wagner (Dan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
