She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Covey and Hibbert Covey; her son Larry; her parents-in-law, David F. Anderson and Agnes; and her grandmother Adlem (Victor Adlem).

She is survived by: her stepfather Joseph Swanzey; her former husband Lawrence Forbes Anderson (Scotty); her children, David Anderson, Daniel Anderson (Tara), Laureen DeBusschere (Alan) and Kathryn Olsgard (Bruce); her husband Dennis Johnston; her extended family, Shelley McMillan (Dennis Besler), Bev Robertson (Tim), Glenna Tarnasky (Dave) and Donna Kalman (Nick); her friend Leslie MacDonald; her siblings, Clifford Covey (Wilena), Margaret Rebman (Vern Mullenix), Richard Covey (Pat Laverdiere), Bert Covey (Doreen) and Alice Hubert (Bill); and also, David Forbes, Donna Rusnell (Barry) and Wayne MacDonald (Brenda).
