He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Eleanor Teckla Sthamann; his great grandchild Ryan McClelland; his parents, Emil Fischer and Anna Fischer; his sisters, Ella Barsness (Art) and Clara Brody (Norman); and his parents-in-law, Anton Braun, Joe Schwartz, Chester Sowa, Cathy Fischer, Dale Richards, Lorna Drake (Bernard) and Fred Wiskar.

He is survived by: his daughter Joanne Sthamann (Jim); his grandchild Jaime Bailey (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan and Colten; his daughter Jacqueline Coward (Cecil); his grandchild Russell Coward (Sarah); his great grandchild Austin; his stepchildren, Cole, Cassie and Nicole McClelland (Darren); his stepgrandchildren, Ashley and Hayley; his daughter Shirley Wirsche (David); his granddaughter Kimberly Savoury (Keene); his great grandchildren, Kole and Timothy Wirsche (Kristen); his son Albert Fischer (Jackie); his granddaughter Michelle Boyd (Desmen); his great grandchildren, Payton, Gavin and David; his siblings, Elsa Braun, Hildegarde Schwartz, Doris Sowa and Felix Fischer; his parents-in-law, Willard Richards (Helen), Howard Richards, Joyce Wiskar, Valerie Liogier (Didier), Diana Richards and Doug Richards; his wife Eleanor Richards of Vanguard, SK; his brother-in-law Chester Sowa; and also, Porter, Declan, Emmett, Nate, Erin Lacelle (Jeremy), Rae and Finley.
