She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Stewart and Wilhelmina Stewart; and her siblings, James Stewart, Ronald E. Stewart, Dorothy "Dot" Petrie and Eleanor Wright.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Quan (Les), Doreen Messenger, Ronald Messenger (Brenda), Sherry Desautels, Lance Messenger and Margo Messenger (Randy Lysee); her sister Gertie Crosby; her nephew Stan Lott; and her husband Lloyd S. Messenger. She is also survived by her family, relatives and friends.
