He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Stormyr and Anna Stormyr; his parents-in-law, John and Lydia Nelson; his brother Bill Gammie; and his siblings-in-law, Ellen Kinnaird, Gordon Kinnaird and Marvin Nelson.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Stormyr; his daughters, Julie Ellen Hilling (Dennis), Orlee Jean Stormyr (John) and Shelly Ann Stormyr Haubrich (Conrad); his grandchildren, Sean Kuhlmann (Janice), Marni Kuhlmann, Blayne Haubrich (Janel), Kris Haughian (Karla), Jeff Haughian (Jessica), Orlanna Earnshaw (Jeff) and Robin Haubrich (Kendal); his great grandchildren, Destiny Ens (Taylor), Teegan Kuhlmann, Hadlee Wensveen, Lucas Haughian, Austin Earnshaw and Adelai Haubrich; and his great great grandchild Aliyah Kuhlmann.
