It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Klassen (Swift Current, Saskatchewan), who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Klassen and Annie Klassen (Giesbrecht); and his son-in-law Candelario "Ray" Godinez. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Klassen (Covey); his children, Stephen Klassen (Catherine Habiak), Charles Klassen and Rebecca Godinez (Klassen); his grandchildren, Cade Klassen (Tara Marshall), Sierra Klassen, Alexandra Pirzek, Jennifer Klassen, Samuel Klassen, Erik Pirzek, Kaylee Klassen and Maxwell Godinez; his great grandchildren, Piper Klassen and Amara Klassen; and his siblings, Peter Klassen (Sandra), Ron Klassen (Theresa), Henry Klassen (Kendra), Mary Eirich (Lyle), Norma Klassen, Ruth Wong (Doug), Betty Fehr (Dave), Trudy Klassen and Terah Looman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
