He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Friesen and Catherine Friesen; his wife Mary Friesen; his children, Virginia Meggait and Glen Friesen; his great grandchild Kohen Meggait; and his siblings, Henry, Wilfred, George, Helen, Elma and Mary.
He is survived by: his son Jesus; his son-in-law Jim Meggait; his children, Amanda Vooys (Corwin), Anthony (Bev), Davis, Elijah, Silas, Levi, Trinity, Elora, Boaz, Chason, Andrew (Erin), Alyssa (Derek), Blok and Dale Friesen (Marlene); his grandchildren, Jennifer Friesen, Andrea Friesen, Melanie (Ken) and Kevin (Kristin); his daughter Phyllis Schimmel (Jack); his grandchildren, Gordon (Linda), Diana (Kevin), Baumann (Ian), Jimmy (Sarah) and Corey Schimmel; his daughter Luona Penner (Kurt); and his brother John. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
