Gordon Unger Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Unger (Swift Current, Saskatchewan), born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilie Unger (Bender) and Peter Unger; and his siblings, Lorraine, Irene, Dorothy, Margorie, Bob, Allan and Glen.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Steinhauer); his children, Wendy Garland (Rod), Cheryl Merkel, Stan Unger (Shelley) and Corinne Van Kannel (Gord); his brother Arthur Unger; his siblings-in-law, Bob Anderson, Hilda Rousay (Dick), Doreen Steinhauer and Alice Steinhauer; his grandchildren, Jamie Garland (Christy), Chris Garland (Stephanie), Jenn Berg (Tim), Wade Unger (Joaleen), Dustin Unger (Kelsey), Chelsey Stuart (Jack), Anthony Merkel (Vanessa), Alyshia Van Kannel and Bret Van Kannel; and his great grandchildren, Ashley, Devyn, Hunter, Peyton, Ella, Paisley, Easton, Lena, Julia and Aubrey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
