He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olsen and Marion Olsen; and his siblings, Laura Greer, John Olsen (Jack), Knute Olsen and Lloyd Olsen.

He is survived by: his close friend Heather Wiebe; his children, CJ Olsen (Laurie) and Carrie O'Reilly (Craig); his stepchildren, Nicki Barber (Andre), Kalin Wiebe (Brittany) and Mitchell Wiebe (Braydon); his grandchildren, Luka, Charlee, Griffin and Ryder; his stepgrandchildren, Maddex, Khloe and Addison; his siblings, Carmen Olsen (Faye) and Linda Chappell; and his siblings-in-law, Ivor Greer and Terri Olsen.
