Elphege Laverdiere Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elphege Laverdiere (Swift Current, Saskatchewan), who passed away on December 24, 2022 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elphege Laverdiere to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Narcisse and Leda (Lena); his sons, Paul (Lena) and Denis; his stepson Steve; and his brother Lucien.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Patricia; his daughter Claire Laverdiere (Charlie); his siblings, Helen Levesseur and Andre Laverdiere; his stepchildren, Patty Schryver and Mike Covey (Marina); his grandchildren, Ashley Dyck (Alicia), Mike (Sarah), Chris Covey, Casey Chartier (Leo), Tyler (Carissa) and Shane Covey (Rachelle); and his former wife Lena Perrault. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either the Elrose Health Centre or Christ the Redeemer Catholic Parish. And a special thanks to the staff at the Elrose Health Centre and the Rosetown & District Health Centre for helping provide comfort and care to Elphege during his stays at their facilities.
