He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Bender and Emma Bender; his siblings, Walter, Lorraine, Luaine and Alan; and his wife Margaret Hoffman.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Assen (Dwayne), Sandra Biech (Elwood), Sharon Wilson (Shawn), David Bender (Chris) and Mike Bender (Wendy); and his brother Wilbert Bender (Rose Marie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
