He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen Linder; his parents, Emily Huartson (Campbell) and Gordon Linder; his stepfather William Huartson; his aunt Isabell; and his brother Bill Huartson.

He is survived by: his children, Bill (Melanie Linder), Nicole Linder and Brandi Linder; his grandchildren, Clay, Cal, Taylor, Ethan, Shelby, Charlie, Brayden, Karrington and Kaydan; his brothers, Brian Huartson and Kim Huartson; and his great grandchildren, Graysen and Trinitee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Donations may be made in Daryl's memory to The Lac Pelletier Regional Park or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
