She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack O'Neil and Beth O'Neil (Ron); and her sisters, Patricia Shenher and Marilyn Gaudry. She is survived by: her sons, Rod (Kim), Royce (Elissa) and Ryan (Shirley); her grandchildren, Cody, Chantelle, Tyden, Seth and Shyler; her great grandchildren, Zoe, Zander and Allianna; her brother-in-law Larry Gaudry; her nieces, Tera and Cora Lee (Louis); her nephew Drew; her great-niece Elizabeth; and her pets, Gracie, Jack, Peanut and Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Swift Current S.P.C.A., reflecting Cheryl's enduring love for animals.
