He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Burkey and Lena Catherine Burkey; his stepmother Mary Elizabeth Burkey; his wife Verna Burkey; and his children, Charlie, Raymond, Gloria and Tracey.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Burkey of Regina, SK, Jimmy (Leslie) and Donna Rupert; his granddaughters, Victoria Burkey (Blake) of Swift Current, SK, Charlene Burkey (Dustin) of Campbell River, BC and Natasha Wollman (Tanner) of Moose Jaw, SK; and his sibling Terry.
