He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Harper and Olive Harper (Sylvester); his wife Dorothy Pratt; his sister Clara; his children, Thelma and Terry; his daughters-in-law, Norma and Carol; and his granddaughter Amron.

He is survived by: his sibling Jerry; his sons, Jerry (Ruth) and Ronald; and his son-in-law Nick Nekuliak. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
