He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Wittman and Martha Wittman (Sauder); his sister Joyce Ruf; his parents-in-law, Cornie and Lena Hiebert; and his siblings-in-law, Herb Ruf and Wilma Hiebert.
He is survived by: his grandson Jordan; his wife Julene Wittman; his children, Shelley Unger (Stan), Brent Wittman (Rhonda) and Dianne Robertson (Doug); his grandchildren, Wade Unger (Joaleen), Dustin Unger (Kelsey), Karmyn Carlson (Nolan), Kelsey Krahn (Brandon), Cody Robertson (Sharlyn), Kent Robertson (Miranda) and Kurt Robertson (Anna); his great grandchildren, Lena, Julia, Aubree Unger, Brynn Carlson, Amarah, Spencer Robertson and London Robertson; his nieces and nephews, Lorelei Lawrence (Howard) and Jeff Ruf; and also, Ron Hiebert (Vera) and Marvin Hiebert.
