He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Van Kannel Sr. and Emma; and his sisters, Francis Seymour (Howard) and Mary Weber (Joe). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Van Kannel; his sons, Gordon (Corinne), Blair (Jackie) and Richard; and his grandchildren, Alyshia and Bret. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
