He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Schmidt and Margaretha Schmidt; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Schmidt; his children, Douglas Schmidt and Carol Mackrell (Larry); his granddaughter Kristi O'Driscoll (Riley); his great grandchildren, Laekyn and Bowen; his sons, Tysen and David Schmidt (Alouisa); and his grandsons, Mitchell and Evan. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
