He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Maurer and Mary Maurer; his son-in-law Bruce Pilgrim; and his granddaughter Becki-Ann Pilgrim. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his daughters, Christina Maurer (Luke), Loretta and Cathy Ruud (Rocky); his grandchildren, Evan Priest, Sean Priest (Ashley), Daniel Allchurch, Morgan Allchurch, Kimberley Walcer and Rachel Walcer (Chris); his great grandchildren, Tiah Pilgrim-Rollhieser and Mya Sweet-Allchurch; his brother Les Maurer (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Hays (Sheila), Pat Maurer, Pam Williams (Wally), Bev Rouse, Robyn Mapletoft and Tucker Rouse. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
