He is survived by: his children, Rose Marie Bird, Doug and Eliza Starr; his siblings, Lorne Bird, Jed Sangrey, Gilbert Thunderchild, Louie Horse, Leona Starr-Manoakeesick, Jackie Starr, Loretta Starr (Ivan) and Verna Thunderchild; and his stepsisters, Roselene Morin and Genevieve Horse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
