He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Ruten and Tora Ruten; his siblings, Bergliot Dahlsjo (Magnus), Margaret, Iver (Myrna), Mulfrid, Myrtle Tondell (Richard) and Telford (Ruth); his significant other Mary; and also, Frank Giesbrecht, Susan Giesbrecht and Helen Roos.
