He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Leonard Thompson; his wife Erna; his grandson Tyson Sievert; and his children, Claire Whippler (Lorne), Jim Thompson (Linda), Pat Pederson (Russ), Jackie Sievert (Dale), Kelly Krupp (Tim) and Don Thompson (Cari Watson). He was also cherished by his 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
