He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Linda Sanderson (Victor), Agnes Keenatch and Cecilia Keenatch-Smallboy; his grandchildren, Chief Jack Rayne (Karen) and Sophie Sanderson (Owen); his godchildren, Bernice Gaudry and Wendell Netmaker; his parents, Max Rainey and Maryanne Rainey; his siblings, Louis Sahpossum (Georgina), Andrew Rainey (Mary), Maryanne Lachance (Peter), Georgina Cardinal (Sylvestre) and Margaret Bear (Antoine); his former wife Dorthy Rainey; his significant other Sophie Keenatch; his children, Melvin, Calvin, George, Ivan Keenatch, Therese Keenatch and Marlene Rabbitskin; and his grandchildren, Michael Keenatch, Ricky Keenatch, Thomas Masuskapoe and Calvin Masuskapoe. He was also cherished by Many grandchildren, chapans, nieces/nephews.
