We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2024, Joan Markell (Shaunavon, Saskatchewan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Hengel and Kathleen Hengel; her husband Russel Markell; her daughter Linda Brown; her grandson Tory Cole; her sons-in-law, Ronald Brazier and Leo Schile; and her sisters, Olive Boyle (Tony) and Helen Hengel.
She is survived by: her daughter Gayle Brazier; her granddaughter Melissa Zolmer (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Sylus and Grayson; her grandson James Brazier (Christine Stower); her great grandchild Landon; her daughter Karen Schile; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Cole and Noella Cole; her daughter Mary Anne Kawaza (Bob); her grandson Dylan Armstrong (Kristen); her great grandchildren, Chloe and Jax; and her son-in-law Brad Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Christ the King R. C. Church (580 5th St E, Shaunavon, SK S0N2M0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
