Susan Mae Gunn-Sparvier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Mae Gunn-Sparvier (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), who passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Mike and Hubert Gunn; her stepfather George Mike; her children, Annie Laurie and Roni Sue; and her siblings, Randy, Victoria, Darren, Elston, Elvis, Shelly and Annie.

She is survived by: the father of her children Clifford Sparvier; her children, Cliff and Dannielle (Elliot); her brother Donovan Gunn; her grandchildren, Deidra (Bk), Deltaryn, Darcy, Sienna, Drew, Darlynn, Danni-Lee, Daylon, Noella and Aurora-Frances; and her great grandchildren, Eleyah, Paisleigh, Michael, Zilliyah and Masey.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Park Funeral Home (311 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K2H9).

Her contributions to the preservation of Indigenous history and culture were invaluable, particularly in her work on the First Nations book of Veterans and her transcription of hundreds of notes from First Nation Veterans from Saskatchewan.
