Julia Skrepnek Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Skrepnek of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who passed away on December 31, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Kluk and Lena Kluk; her husband George Skrepnek; and her siblings, Mary, Victoria, Patricia, Elsie, Rosemarie, Ben and Mursel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Barbara Anderson (Robert) of Saskatoon and Patricia Vereschagin (Michael) of Saskatoon; her grandchildren, Dr. Sarah Chewerda (Thomas) of Scappoose, David Anderson (Sarah) of Saskatoon, Heather Anderson (Ryan Downey), Rebecca Vereschagin of Saskatoon and Shawn Vereschagin (Erika) of Kinistino, SK.; her great grandchildren, Aspen, Elias Chewerda, Evelyn, Audrey Anderson, Stella and Emilia Vereschagin; her sister Theresa Genik of Kinistino; and her siblings-in-law, Violet Kluk of Yorkton, Marge Kluke of Beausejour, MB and Joe Mizsak of Vancouver. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church (210 Avenue M S, Saskatoon, SK S7M2K4). In April 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Julie had a stroke and was welcomed into the care of St. Ann's Nursing Home.
Memorial donations may be made St. Ann's Senior Citizens Village (2910 Louise St., Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L8) as gifts of remembrance.
