She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Tutkaluk and Jack Tutkaluk; her husband Stephen Checkowy; and her son Ben Checkowy. She is survived by: her children, Louise (Lyle) and Jack (Flo); her sister Doreen Gruszecki; her grandchildren, Melissa (Mike), Tamara (J. R.) and Justin (Robyn); and her great grandchildren, Nicole (Jaden), Skyler (Sophie), Carson, Keira, Hunter, Madison, Kohan and Mason. She is also survived by other great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her many amazing friends.
