He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy and Bessy; and his siblings, Lilla, Grace, Anna, Beryl and James.

He is survived by: his significant other Esther Stewart; and his daughters, Marj Statler (Dan) of Chestermere, AB, Ellen Shatilla (Don) of Saskatoon, SK and Janice Robbins (John Ziegler) of Peachland, BC.. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
