George Bryan Bock Obituary

Bryan Bock of Saskatoon, cherished husband of 49 years of Cheryl Bock, passed away at St. Paul's Hospital on February 8, 2025, at the age of 73 years. He was the generous and loving father of Daniel Bock of Saskatoon and will be missed and remembered by his extended family in Washington State, his cousins and his many friends. Bryan was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Bock of Saskatoon and his eldest son, Karl Bock.

Bryan spent his life in Saskatoon. He was a graduate of Walter Murray Collegiate and the Kelsey Institute pre-employment welding program. Bryan was a welder-machinist by trade. In the off-season from welding, Bryan worked at Radio Shack (The Source). He had a lifelong passion for designing, building and tinkering and spent countless hours in his workshop. He was a talented musician and was an original member of Sora Mai (Living Sky) Taiko. He loved the outdoors and was happiest suntanning on a beach. Another favourite pastime was biking. He often cycled across the city to work and enjoyed long long bike rides on summer evenings. He was a ballroom dancer and had also been part of the Society for Creative Anachronism and the Saskatoon Opera Society. He was a well-read, well-spoken conversationalist. His indomitable spirit was with him to the end.

Bryan's life journey was marked by his unwavering dedication to his crafts and his exuberant embrace of life's joys. His legacy lives on in the intricacies of his creations, the melodies he played, and the trails he blazed on his bike. As his family and friends come together to honor his memory, they are invited to celebrate the vibrancy and zest that Bryan brought to every moment.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Road) in Saskatoon, SK on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 7 pm. The celebration will be live-streamed.

Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Bryan's favourite charity was Saskatoon Street Cat Rescue.

A special thank you to the caring and dedicated teams at RUH Neurology & Medicine, St. Paul's Palliative Care and Sherbrooke Community Centre. (https://youtube.com).
