He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav and Marie; his sister Diane; his brother-in-law Lawrence Rathgeber; his brother Lorne; his parents-in-law, Leo and Leita Racette; his sister-in-law Kate Racette; his niece Leia Wotherspoon; and his son Cody.

He is survived by: his wife Francine; his son Cary Yathon (Donna); his grandchildren, Kat and Deacon (Sage); his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jack Yathon; his daughter Heidi Yathon (Kirby Kalthoff); his grandchildren, Anisha, Grietje and Gracie Yathon; his in-laws, Jill Yathon, Max Racette, Juanita, Greg Wotherspoon, Jim, Donna Racette, Iris Racette, Bonnie and Murray Gillette; his child Dana; and his close friend Francine. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7V0S4).
