He was predeceased by: his parents, Femia Westendorp and Jan Westendorp (John); his parents-in-law, Beatrice and Edwin Skundberg; and his brother Harold.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Tara Sandrino (Leo) and Mark Westendorp (Jodie); his grandchildren, Deiter, Rylan, Evelynn, Zayden Sandrino, Tenley, Mila and Jaxson Westendorp; his siblings, Rikie, Tony, Tinie, Henny, Walter, Henry, Femia, Jannie, Linda, Mary, Janie and Johnny; and his parents-in-law, Albert, Margaret, Garnet, Judy, Gordon, Eva and Harry.

There will be no funeral due to COVID restrictions, Bert is being cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced later.
