It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Gjesdal (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Selma Gjesdal (Pa'Sigurd Gjesdal) and Sigurd Gjesdal; his son Marvin; his sisters, Helen Olsen and Mae Lima; and his siblings-in-law, Vie Haugerud, Glen Haugerud, Gulfred Olsen, Albert Bourcier and Carmen Borelli.

He is survived by: his wife Amy Gjesdal; his daughters, Pam Gjesdal and Valerie Braun; his son-in-law David Braun of Moose Jaw; his grandchildren, Jordaan Braun (Bailey) of Moose Jaw, Chelsea Klassen (Dominik) of Winkler, MB, Nathan Braun and Noah Braun of Saskatoon; his siblings, Raymond Gjesdal (Marie) of Calgary, AB, Alice Bourcier of Parksville, BC, Eileen Borelli of Nanaimo, BC, Eldon Gjesdal (Marj) of Edmonton, AB and Bettie Tyndall (Wayne) of Davidson; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Haugerud (Lil) of Wadena and Frances Haugerud of Davidson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K2L7).
