He was predeceased by: his son Darrell Michnik; his parents, Frank Michnik and Nancy Michnik (Howlett); his brothers, Frank (Wanda) and Robert Michnik; his sister-in-law Joan Michnik; his nephews, Frank and Harold; and his niece Stacey.

He is survived by: his wife Bessie Michnik; his children, Oldest and Kenneth Michnik Jr. (Lynda); his grandchildren, Krysta Michnik (Madison), Chelsa (Casey), Christman (Casen) and Keegan (Danielle); his son Brad Michnik (Brenda); his grandchildren, Braden, Kyle, Kaylee and Aaron; his daughter Darla Keen; his grandchildren, Payton (Quinn), Ellsworth (Turner), Austin and Dallen; his siblings, Harold Michnik and Shirley Trew (Gary); and his sister-in-law Nan Michnik.
