He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel and Hulda. He is survived by: his wife Vera Klinger; his children, Brenda, Terry and Glenn; his grandson Jason (Tara); his great grandchildren, Alyson, Lexi, Dawson, Zoe, Shylo and Grady; his granddaughter Tresley (Derek); his great grandchildren, Jovie, Jaxon and Neve; his granddaughters, Courtney and Megan Terry (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Glenn (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jaymon (Sarah) and Savanah (Ian); his great grandchildren, Mason and Ava; his granddaughter Jessica (Johnny); his great grandchildren, Jack and Hazel; his granddaughter Jewel (Mitch); his great grandchild Marcus; his sister Alma; and also, Calysta and Dylan (Brie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer Society in memory of Karl.
