She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hodgson and Gertrude Hodgson; and her husband Lawrence "Colin" Smith. She is survived by: her family, Ken Smith (Carol) of Regina, SK, Marilyn Steele (Joe) of Cambridge, ON, Jill Franklin (Alan Witt) of Major, SK and Elmer Smith of Watson, SK. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
