He was predeceased by: his wife Anita; his siblings, Clem, Georgina, George, Benedict "Ben", John, Irene, Paul and Ronnie; and his parents, Anton Eckert (Tony) and Elizabeth Eckert (Deis).
He is survived by: his children, Jana (Cam) and Cori (Ivana); his grandchildren, Josh and Melina; his sisters, Gwen, Florence (Donald) and Frieda (Jim); and his close friend Linda. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family.
