He was predeceased by: his wife Marge Carter; his parents, Roy Carter and Kathleen Germain (Kay); his stepfather Doug Germain; his sister Joyce Carter; his nephew Doug; his parents-in-law, Venla and William Jarvenpaa; his sister Irene; his brother-in-law Art Heisler; his niece-in-law Shelley; and his cousin Janice Koziol.
He is survived by: his children, Deana Carter Keller (Jeff) and Darren Carter (Amanda); his grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel, Roan, Rhys and Fynlea; his siblings, Terry Germain (Bea) and Wendy Rundle; his nieces, Leann (family: Lindsey) and Kathleen; and his nephew Kelly (Rose, family: Terry). He is also survived by other extended family, dear friends.
