He was predeceased by: his former wife Jean Helen Henry Gilchrist; his parents, Dick Gilchrist and Helen Gilchrist; his aunt Mary Gilchrist; and also, Art and Lena Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Heather Loughery; his children, Ryan Gilchrist (Alicia Hines) and Colleen Meier (Clayton); his grandchildren, Austen Gilchrist, Ethen Gilchrist, Kieren Hines, Evania Elsie Taypotat-Loughery, Colter Meier, Cadence Meier, Evander Taypotat-Loughery, Tylen Hines and Carmen Meier; and his siblings, Deborah Elash (Cameron Patterson) and Mark Gilchrist (Jules). He is also survived by numerous nephews and a niece, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
