She is survived by: her children, Jody Medernach (Joel), Fairbairn of Victoria, BC, Brent Medernach (Terri) of Calgary, AB, Connie Bendig of Saskatoon, Sask, Gordon Medernach of Westbank, BC and Chris Medernach (Marilyn) of Calgary, AB.; her grandchildren, Finn, Isla, Jordan (Cindy), Garth (Mary-Jane), Crystal, Robin (Mark), Jason (Jen), Trevor (Kelly), Ryan (Amanda) and Scott (Danielle); and her great grandchildren, Mylee, Meadow, Ariel, Michelle, Dayshia, Clarke, Sunny, Aidyn, Easton, Bryce, Nate, Kade, Leo and Eylie.

Rita who was the driving force along with a few other Cridge Residents formed the "Happy Band" during COVID and would play outdoors on the patio entertaining residents and visitors alike.
