He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna Stewart and Charlie Stewart; his brother Keith; his brother-in-law Neil; and his grandchildren, Teagan Batstone and Adeline Rose Stewart.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his former wife Linda; his children, Stephanie (Gabe), Alison and Lee (Jessica); his grandchildren, Stewart, Jack, Liberty, Josie and Samson; and his sister Cheryl. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lyle's memory to Colorectal Cancer Canada.
