She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Sweitzer and Lena Sweitzer; her brother Ken; and her granddaughter Amanda. She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Mickey, Susan (Doug) and Wendy (Joe); her stepchildren, Gail (Larry) and Kelly (Roxanne); her grandchildren, Ryan, Justine, Jeremy, Joel, Megan, Caitlyn (Scott), Matthew (Andrea) and Melissa (Shamus); her sisters, Marleen and Jean; and her cousin Darleen. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
